![]() A great choice for guys who like their sweet spicy fragrances. I think it’s a reasonable comparison, and definitely if you can’t afford the Bond No 9, Black XS L’Exces is a good alternative. ![]() This scent has been compared to Bond No 9’s amazing Scent of Peace for Him. From love to passion Black XS created LExcs The creation of an intense Rock fragrance: potent, pulsating, glamorous, fiery, sensual and vibrantto. I get whiffs of this fragrance on my jacket for days afterwards. Its performance is excellent both in silage and longevity. It is more versatile than the original Black XS, because it is fresher. An unpredictable scent that combines black amber and wild. There are no spices listed in the notes, but it definitely has some cardamom in there to me.īlack XS L’Exces is to me a great fragrance for a date, or a cooler day. Black XS Eau de Toilette by Paco Rabanne is a perfume for men with radical charm. The woody base seems like a standard spicy sandalwood-patchouli combo, which gives it a masculine touch and stops it from creeping into the unisex category. The scent dries down fairly quickly to reveal a heart of fresh ozonic accords. There is immediately an almost candied sweetness about it. Some people detect strawberry, but I don’t’ really get this. I still smell the pineapple and rhubarb gives it a zingy tartness. The opening is fresh and fruity with lemon, and lavender. The sleek black bottle is embellished with silver writing, and is finished off with a cute silver skull pendant. While this is still a sweet men’s fragrance, Black XS L’Exces manages to stay very masculine, and has a very sexy spicy dry down.īlack XS L’Exces is cleverly designed to appeal to the ‘cool guy”. The amped-up fruit notes have also been changed up from the original, with a stronger lemon at the top, removing the pineapple and the adding of berry and rhubarb (to my nose anyhow). It's simple-fresh and sweet-and is perfectly wearable as there are no particular missteps, imbalances, or awkward moments in its development (in fact it's linear for the most part, just moving more toward the woody base as the fresh pineapple. This is a somewhat fresher fruiter version of the original BlackXS. L'Exces features a fresh, candied pineapple and grapefruit accord over a clean, synthetic woody base. Paco Rabanne Black XS L’Exces was released in 2012 as a flanker to the original BlackXS which came out in 2005.
